About Nicole

Overview:

Creative, a bit of a perfectionist, detail-oriented, efficient, organized, problem-solver….
I received my education at Woodbury University where I graduated Cumma Sum Laud with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture. I was awarded ‘Top in Design’ three consecutive years, was one out of two design students chosen to participate in the AIA 2:1 Student Competition in 2007 and placed 2nd place in a 3rd year studio final project competition.

I am currently seeking to further my interior design career by gaining valuable professional experience with the hopes of becoming a certified interior designer and one day opening up my own design firm.

Aside from business, I am a mother of two beautiful girls, I have a wonderful husband, I am an amateur photographer, I love reading novels and I am a second degree black belt in Taekwondo.

I thank God only, for the achievements I’ve had. Only through Him are all things possible.

Professional:

I am an Interior Designer with two years of professional experience with architectural and interior firms. As an Interior Designer for Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects, I worked as a supporting member of a design team responsible for completing and assisting in tasks such as space planning, custom furniture detailing, rendering, design development, as well as finish selections, presentation boards and product specification binders. As a Planning Assistant for HKA Planning and Architecture, I assisted the principal architect and planner with presentations, rendered site plans, residential construction documents and master planning binders.

In addition, I have over seven years of experience in AutoCAD Architecture, including Architecture 2012 and I am proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and hand rendering. I am also familiar with Sketchup and Revit. I was awarded ‘Top in Design’ three consecutive years at Woodbury University and was one of two design students selected to participate in the 16th Annual 2:1 Student Competition sponsored by AIA in Los Angeles. I consider my strengths the ability to work efficiently and thoroughly under pressure, to organize and manage my time and workload, and to multitask with particular attention to detail.

I would love to hear from you if you are intrigued by my work. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
